These were the keys to my success

Those who have the ability to manage their thoughts, they choose beneficial emotions. They are able to fill themselves with inspiration, and bear all the faculties to focus on their work at hand.

You cannot increase your lifespan very much. But you can increase the depth and the width of your life. That is why is it said: Count not your life in the number of breaths that you breathe. Count it in the number of moments that took your breath away.

Around 7 years ago and i was looking for a summer job. I needed desperately money to pay my bills and also to help my family. I found an ad for a barman which was for a season job in a Greek island. They were interviewing candidates in Athens. So i fill out the form online and submit it with my CV. After 2 days they replied to me and they invited me to go for the interview the very next day at noon which it took place in a hotel. I arrived there at 11 am and i discovered that they were at least another 20 guys waiting for their turn. I realised that moment that i didn’t stand the chance to be selected. But i was inspired. While i was waiting for my turn, i wrote a note and i gave it to the lady in the reception. I asked if she kindly can give the note to the manager, and the response that i took was, to give to the manager myself when my turn comes. I insist by saying that this is urgent and it cannot wait. He has to see it now. Apparently the urgency of my voice convinced her i think. She took the note and she handle it to the interviewing manager. After a minute or so, a gentleman showed up with a smile in his face. He asked the reception lady who was that person who gave the note to her and she point at me. The manager called me to his side and asked if i wrote that and i nod. He gave me his hand and he told me that i got the job.

You will wonder what i wrote on the piece of paper. My note said: ‘Sir, i am the 21st guy on the line waiting for the interview. Don’t choose anyone, before you see me’

By writing that, i was expressing my enthusiasm for the job. That enthusiasm was so important for my success at that time. Enthusiasm connect us with a huge fund of energy that come within ourselves.

Those with no motivation will failed no matter what and those who are inspired will carry on until they succeed
